Overview: In addition to our African Economic Data and Economic Indicators, DIH provides global economic data that is organized into ten (10) databases, each categorized into twenty-three (23) thematic topics for fast and accurate analysis and cross-referencing.
Coverage: Our global economic data covers economic and financial data from over 250 countries.
History: The amount of historical data varies by data set, but we have data going as far back as 1955.
Updates: We update our data daily whenever new data is released by the primary source.
Delivery: You can receive our global economic data in bulk files via download, S3 to S3, on-demand via API, or Microsoft Excel® Plug-In. You may also access our data via your web browser or a locally installed application.
License Terms: We license our global economic data for either your internal use only or for display/redistribution to your clients. Unlike other data providers, DIH does not have purge clauses – so if you ever stop receiving data from us, you do not have to a ransom to keep the data you’ve already received and for which you’ve paid.

What’s Included in Our Global Economic Data.
We organize and maintain ten (10) major proprietary databases including:
Consensus Survey – a monthly survey of economic forecasts for 30 major developed countries and emerging markets, by over 100 investment banks and institutional forecasters worldwide. The survey includes consensus estimates for the most important economic and financial variables (e.g. gross domestic product, private consumption, investment, unemployment rate, consumer prices, oil prices, exports, imports, current account, exchange rate, money supply, policy interest rate, government bond yield). The survey was firstly conducted in 2011 and now contains over 2,960 time series.
Emerging Africa – provides comprehensive economic and financial data for 54 major emerging markets in Africa. The database has over 124,500 series from primary sources, consisting of mostly annual data supplemented by quarterly and monthly data. We license this data as a standalone product as well – see Africa Economic Data.
Emerging Asia – provides comprehensive economic and financial data for 52 major emerging markets in Asia. The database has over 303,960 series from primary sources or an average of more than 9,940 series for each country.
Emerging CIS – provides comprehensive economic and financial data for 12 major emerging markets in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The database has over 64,870 series from primary sources or an average of 5,400 series for each country.
Emerging EMEA – provides comprehensive economic and financial data for 106 major emerging markets in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The database has over 229,680 series from primary sources or an average of more than 2,160 series for each country.
EuroStat – provides comprehensive and comparable data for Europe as a whole under various definitions (e.g. Euro Area, EU15, EU25, EU27) as well as for 38 individual countries. The database has over 359,530 series, mostly monthly series.
Forecast – provides comprehensive and comparable economic forecasts, extended up to the future 8 years, for 195 countries and regions based on the 22 categories of topics (excluding Daily Statistics), using the TRAMO/SEATS model. The database has over 308,780 forecasted time series or an average of 2,375 series for each country.
G7 & Europe – provides comprehensive economic and financial data for the countries that make up the G7 and the Euro Area. The database has over 153,270 series.
Supplementary – provides comprehensive economic and financial for 251 countries and regions in the world.

We also have additional multilateral organization and international databases, including:
BIS Statistics – provides over 17,650 time series from the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) international financial statistics. The database covers the global tables of the locational and consolidated banking statistics and debt securities statistics including exchange-traded derivatives, global liquidity, credit, debt service ratios, property prices, exchange rates, consumer prices, and central bank policy rates.
Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) Economic Outlook – contains all of the historical and forecast time series data from 1970 onwards. The database contains over 26,730 annual and quarterly time series corresponding to those published in the printed publication OECD Economic Outlook as well as a large number of unpublished series.
Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) Main Economic Indicators – series are included at the highest frequency (monthly or quarterly) appearing in the parent printed publication and each delivery of the database includes the full run of historical data for each series, beginning as early as 1960. The database contains approximately 40,620 series for employment, unemployment and vacancies, prices and wages, industrial production, retail sales, construction, deliveries, stocks and orders, money supply, interest rates, share prices, exchange rates, national accounts aggregates, exports, imports, the balance of trade, and the current account, organized into individual country files for the OECD member countries, together with separate files covering the subject matter classifications of the printed publication. In addition to covering all OECD member countries, the database also includes data for ten major OECD non-member countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa). The database is released monthly.
Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) Quarterly National Accounts – contains over 41,760 time series corresponding to those published in the printed publication, OECD Quarterly National Accounts as well as historical sets of accounts for countries that have adopted new accounts and have not extended the time series back as far as they previously had done. The database provides information on the main national accounts aggregates for member countries and for groups of countries, and tables of comparative statistics, starting as early as 1955. The database is released quarterly.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) International Financial Statistics – provides over 324,170 time series from the International Monetary Fund’s International Financial Statistics database. The database contains data for 221 countries and includes all series published in the country pages and the world and area tables of the IMF International Financial Statistics publications (monthly and Yearbook) but with more extensive time coverage.
World Bank World Development Indicators – contains over 341,920 time series measuring macroeconomic performance (GDP, consumption, investment, international trade, balance of payments, central government budgets, prices, and money supply) for the 219 countries and territories.
